9. Track Daily Challenges & Flip It
Anxiety, depression, and fear are just a few of the symptoms you may be experiencing. When we are deep into an emotion that has been influenced by our thyroids it can be challenging to flip our perspective to one that better serves us.
By checking in with any challenging thoughts or situations we may have experienced in the day, we can broaden our viewpoint and help shift our thoughts to a perspective that we can learn from.[/cs_text][cs_text]
10. Track Stress Relief & Daily Thoughts
What ways are you reducing stress in your life? This could include anything from removing a toxic friend to skipping caffeine or doing yoga.
Extra room is given for any additional thoughts from the day that you would like to include. This is a good space for any notes you may have from a counseling session, a doctor, or even a diary entry![/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][cs_row inner_container=”false” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px 5%;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][cs_text]
11. Track Your Successes & Gratitude
Keeping track of your successes and gratitude can help ease depressive feelings and help gain confidence. Can’t think of anything successful from the day or to be grateful for? 5. Track Your Energy Levels
Always get the after-lunch slump? Or maybe your energy is out of this world just before bed. Tracking your daily highs and lows will help you plan a more productive schedule in the future.
Avoid those important meetings when your energy is flat or if you notice that you are always exhausted after lunch – experiment to find foods that will keep you balanced throughout the day.

6. Track Sleep, Waking Mood, & Dreams
Insomnia and vivid dreaming are common symptoms with a thyroid disorder. Often these dreams influence the way we feel when we wake up. Bringing awareness to that underlying feeling will help to shift our perspective to one that serves us better. You may even notice a repeating emotional theme. Tracking this will allow you the opportunity to explore ways you may be feeling those emotions in your day-to-day.[/cs_text][cs_text class=”cs-ta-left”]
7. Track Meals, Triggers, & Feedback
There are several foods that are known to impact our thyroids. The quick reference icons of possible food triggers will help you to easily see if you are consuming these foods more than you would like. Rate how well you did for the day as well as water intake. In the food feedback section include supplements and medications or thoughts on how you did for the day.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][cs_row inner_container=”false” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px 5%;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_image type=”none” src=”http://mytrackjournal.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/TRACK-journal_20180327_icon-list.jpg” alt=”” link=”false” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][cs_text class=”cs-ta-left”]Have a food that is a repeat offender for you that doesn’t fit on this list? Do you have the proper knowledge and skills to reach this goal? If it makes more sense to take a class and develop new skills first, then make that the priority. Remember, a goal can actually have several additional goals within it. My name is Gretchen and I am the creator of Track Journal.
In February of 2017, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. In some ways it was a relief to finally have a reason behind the symptoms I was experiencing for so long.
I had tried so many different approaches to managing my life but nothing really fit for what I was going through. It was hard to balance all of my projects and goals while experiencing brain fog, depression, anxiety, weight gain, and fatigue.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][cs_row inner_container=”false” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px 250px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][cs_text class=”cs-ta-justify”]The list of symptoms goes on but I’ll stop there! As a graphic designer by day, I decided to create a journal that would cover everything I needed while also helping me track my bloodwork, symptoms, and schedule. Balancing our lives isn’t just about sticking to a schedule. It’s about clarity and adjusting as we go.
There is so much information out there on what to eat, think, and do when you are living with a thyroid disorder. It can be incredibly overwhelming and often times the information even contradicts itself. I found out the hard way. After taking a supplement that was suggested to me by a bunch of reputable people (from my doctor to my acupuncturist to a great online resource to even my friend) I had a terrible reaction to it.
My TSH shot up from 1.34 (after i had stabilized with meds) to 50! I remember the pain and frustration of trying to piece together what had changed in my diet and lifestyle to find an answer. I was suspicious of the supplement and after retracing emails where I had mentioned it, I could see it was in fact that.
I would’ve benefitted so much from Track Journal back then so that I could’ve pieced it together quicker and with more ease. If this journal has any capability of making it even a little easier for you on your thyroid journey then I will be beyond happy for the time I’ve invested in creating it.
